Blooming Life

What kind of life are you revealing?  Is it one of beauty or blunders, rejoicing or regret?

We all make mistakes, life seems to wilt in the sun of life's hurry and heat.  To this, we turn into worrywarts about just about everything, only fertilizing the weeds!

Can we find a way to grow, and really thrive in the ground we occupy? What can we depend on to flourish?

Somebody brings the word which is planted into our hearts.  It can be a word from a sermon, a story a friend tells of his changed life, an online podcast -- the possibilities are innumerable.  Then we hear again something along the same lines, or someone further down the line shares more of the goodness of God, and that 'seed' of the truth gets watered.  A little plant begins to grow, pushing up through the hard soil of life.  But there is one important fact:

He is warming and strengthening you to understand. Only in HIM, the one who brings life, can we keep our eyes looking up to Him for everything.  Like the sunflower facing the sun, our lives can be greater than the ground we inhabit, it can all be for Him!

We can bloom in joy.  We can encourage the joy around us.  That is what flowers do.
