Golden Hour!

Golden Hour!

I'm not a photographer. I wish I were when I see the beauty others snap out there and bring to the internet for us to enjoy.

You do too, no doubt.  But has your life also scrolled into that golden light?

The darker hues of sites are in our face almost constantly, so it does take digging to find the light. But just like in photography, there is only an hour or so at the crack of dawn and late before sunset that bring us that optimal light.

Life can be like that too, don't you think?  Early on, life flaunts those fabulous experiences, the ones we cherish for the glow they leave behind in our memories.  We long for those to return. Here and there, some ripple of a repeat reaches us.  But then it is gone again.

Later in life, surprisingly, we can see them again.  Looking back. Not everybody is so blessed, however...

When life is unkind, whether or not that is of our making, we can miss the sunset golden light, a joy of seeing how good life has been to us.  But there is an exception.

If life has been lived with purpose beyond ourselves.

Have we given our all to our family, our community, or others along our way?  Or, even more relevantly, have we given our lives to be with our God as life progressed?

These are the blessed ones.  God's purpose IS their purpose.  And He always brings His children into His business, sharing the joys as well as the loads of daily care.

So, if you are somewhere in the middle still, stake your life on HIM and the golden glow will follow you each day, each dawn and sunset as you remember Him, His light colors yours!
