Melting pots all around us...

While traveling in Lithuania, my husband and I spent our Sunday in a little Baptist church in Vilnius.  Talk about a warm gathering of believers! And excellent teaching to boot! But not what I expected in one way...

We have some old assumptions, you and I. Here, so far off my beaten track, there were believers of several races and nationalities.  We sang translations of English worship songs in Latvian, Russian, and English.  They are also busy working both online and off.  In a word, the heavenly 'world' located in Vilnius is reaching out and loving others.

For some of you, this melting pot is normal.  But for others, it is more of a growing reality than before.  Some of you might not know the joy of warmth among God's people. There is much to experience!

Have you thought about what the heavenly home will be like? 

One day, we who have given all to Christ will mix with believers from ALL places AND TIMES.  Oh, the stories of HIS faithfulness we will discover!  Or at least, that is how I imagine it.

What about you?  Are you ready to enjoy the melting pot of spiritual life in the Kingdom of God? And enjoy it here and now? 

I would urge you to explore the worship of brothers and sisters from around the world near your home or while on holiday!

And... sing to the Lord a new song! The language and culture may be different, but the heart of love is over it all, now and in the eternal future!
