Set In Stone
Wave rocks are ancient structures in geology that look like they will come crashing down in the surf. Yet these are frozen in endless time. This one is solid granite. And that is solid!
We accept some things or people as unmoveable, unchangeable in our lives. Most are. Might as well be granite... We cannot sculpt ourselves to much degree either, no matter what the gurus regurgitate. Time can make us even harder on ourselves, on others, and unresponsive to love. Here begins a lot of the pain that friends and neighbors endure.
Heartless, hard hearts. Uncaring. Cold.
Are we doomed to stay that way? Not if we have a heart transplant...
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26
