Lions, and Tigers, and Bears! Oh My!

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

1 Peter 5:8

And not just lions!

While we are out there chasing our dreams, a predator might be chasing us. It is not always the devil doing the chasing...

The bear chasing the children might be laziness, procrastination, doubt, or a messy myriad of other nasty nouns, all self-inflicted. Alas! We can be our own worst enemy.

But like Dorthy in 'The Wizard of Oz,' the yellow-brick road we have been given to travel must be journeyed at all costs.  How we travel that road is our decision.  Drumming up the courage in our hearts is one way.  The other relies on the presence of another, a protector who walks the road with us.

I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Psalm 16:8

How many times has HE been there for me!?  Numerous times!

Do walk the road before you, follow your dream.  But be wise and diligent, naturally, and then at all costs, trust in a protector, the Lord, at your right hand.

The key?  Keep your eyes on the Lord!
