Color Your World Green
They will be like trees growing beside a stream— trees with roots that reach down to the water, and with leaves that are always green. They bear fruit every year and are never worried by a lack of rain.
Jeremiah 17:8A tree needs never worry with flowing water. Anyone enjoying a forest walk can observe mossy carpets and new blooms in season with the trees lining a stream, even the smallest of brooks. It is a bursting profusion of greens, then flowering yellow and white, in all shapes and sizes.
As the verse above says – always green, bearing fruit and never worrying about a lack of rain.
That ‘worry’ is where we often find ourselves less than God intends, isn’t it?
Worrying about a lack of this, that, or the other is our problem. My greatest weakness is anxiety, which I fight every day.
One thing I have found helps more than anything. I remember. God is with His children! So, He is with me! We all sometimes forget that His living water sustains us through each season of life. So, here is a reminder!
Even if our flowers wilt and fall, we needn’t be anxious, our leaves will flourish! Just as spring returns each year, we flower and bear fruit in season because He provides.
The Branch supports us all. Fruit will come in turn. Color your world green!
