Wilderness Wonder
The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus…
Isaiah 35:1Have you ever felt like your life is a desert? Is that desert pain, and that parched land depression? Do prickly cactus, not fragrant pines, seem to surround you? In July those hot days of suffering can seem endless… But January can also bring barrenness of soul.
Then, if you feel that overbearing sun, take this verse to heart, even the wilderness rejoices! And in that joy is strength! How? When the scorching heat of heartache, illness, or despair sap your strength, look to HIM, the refreshing stream of life!
“Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38.
These are the words of Jesus. Can you trust what he says?
He brings living water within that flows out of us to one and all. That is the work of the Holy Spirit within His children, within all who have entrusted HIM with their lives.
He is renewing, filling, and bringing refreshment in an arid environment of your life situation. Life can be overflowing amid life’s desert onslaught…
He is with us then. His living water.
