Living in the 'hood'...

Living in the 'hood'...

There are dangerous places to live in this world.  The same applies to people of faith going about their everyday lives.  Does your Google feed show you what is going on in the world, the world of the Christian minorities?

Mine does. And my heart sinks until it raises prayers on their behalf. Look for those articles*, and you'll see why.

It is hunting season in some parts of the world.  Not for wild animals or game, but for the people of the Cross.  Believers are being purposely hunted down, killed, and their women forced to marry the very terrorists that kidnapped them. This is not someone's exaggeration, not a prejudice of some kind, but fact.  Death after death, burnt churches, and kidnappings all tell the same story. Thousands of deaths in Nigeria alone.

Governments are slow to react, especially local ones. So if they can do nothing, what can we do?

Pray. Spread the news to keep the pressure on those who can do something.

And pray again for those dear folk who endure these troubles day after day, year after year, yet continue to meet together and worship.  They speak to us by their conduct.  In Christ they find the strength for their perilous lives.

Do we find strength in Him for ours?
