When He is watching
We grow up knowing the watching eyes...the eyes of our parents. And we needed that protection and care, too!
Kids get into the worst kind of trouble if left alone. Every parent knows this. So does God.
But HE, our loving Lord and Heavenly Father, also has other criteria -- an attitude of heart that only HE can see:
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
Psalm 33:18So when you are seeking to live for God but feel alone and defeated by your own failure to 'live up' to His standard, when you trust in Him but see no answers to prayers, when all seems hopeless in this world, then look up.
Putting Him first by respecting His calling on our lives, and hoping in Him first for our needs—these are what show Him our love.
His eyes are upon us, indeed.
Then live in the promise He has given by faith. He watches, protects, provides, and never leaves us alone. By faith, as we take all He has proclaimed and promised of salvation, and all the rest, we find His eyes upon us even when life seems dark. Especially when life seems dark to us.
Look up! But set your heart on Him to know His presence, His eyes upon your heart of love for HIM!
